What We Stand For

Our Mission

We regenerate disinvested communities with at-risk capital.

Our Values

Integrity is not a theoretical concept

It matters. Stakeholders can rely on honest stewardship of both their visions for success and investment resources. We are careful to treat all resources as if they belonged to our firm.

Be nimble, but focused

The global business landscape is fluid and constantly changing. We believe value is added by keeping our thinking flexible and adaptable, but it’s important that we not compromise the execution strategy.

The client must understand our recommendations

There is no time limit on our explaining the process. Technical issues can confuse even the most experienced person. All information must be understood, thereby ensuring that stakeholders are clear about go-forward strategies.

Everyone deserves reliable advice

Our advice must be trustworthy. The numbers should make sense. The action plan should be achievable. The results should be measurable. Stakeholders should be able to sleep at night.

Diversity

Urban Equities, Inc. is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).

Through a network built over two decades, we have had the good fortune to both hire and interface with other qualified businesses that are certified as MBE or WBE. We understand the value-add that these companies represent for both government and corporate spend channels. Therefore, we seek opportunities to leverage our relationships.

Community service

From our success, we have wholeheartedly embraced the privilege of giving back to the communities that have supported us. Community Service is not only essential to our business; it is a direct link to our success.

In the past, to put a smile on the faces of kids, we have donated Christmas toys to both the Pediatric Units of St. Bernard Hospital and Provident Hospital, both located in Chicago.

We dedicate our efforts to local hiring initiatives by creating jobs for community residents.

We have turned our attention to AIDS Awareness Programs. AIDS/HIV is an epidemic in the United States, with particularly alarming impacts in African American communities. We have financially supported AIDS/HIV education & research at the pediatric ward of the Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center – Cook County Health & Hospital Systems.

We have supported The Coalition for Improved Education in South Shore, a Chicago not-for-profit whose tireless work has left an indelible footprint in Chicago’s communities.
